Executive Report
The Year 12 Trial Examinations will commence on Monday, 5 August, and continue through to Monday, 19 August. All students will resume their timetabled classes on Tuesday, 20 August. We extend our best wishes to all students during this significant period.
On Tuesday, 30 July, the Year 9 and 11 Parent Teacher Night was a successful evening, with the school hall bustling with enriched conversations about teaching and learning. The Rose Bay Secondary College Parent Teacher Nights strive to connect teachers, students, and parents/caregivers to enhance student learning outcomes. It is an invaluable opportunity to engage parents/caregivers with their students’ academic progress and achievements.
The Year 8 and 10 Parent Teacher Night will be held on Tuesday, 6 August, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm at Rose Bay Secondary College in the Gymnasium. Students are encouraged to attend alongside their parents/caregivers. We anticipate another successful evening of meaningful conversations within our school community.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data
All schools in Australia participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) each year. The process requires schools to identify information already available in the school about supports provided to students with disability. These relate to legislative requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005, in line with the NCCD guidelines (2019). All students who receive additional support at school are included in this process. The data is provided in such a way that no individual student will be able to be identified – the privacy and confidentiality of all students is ensured. If you have any questions about this process, please contact the school office to talk to Ms Wood who coordinates the process.

It's Children’s Book Week in the library 17-23 August- Every year since 1945 CBCA Children's Book Week has brought children and books together across Australia.
Book Week has had a slogan since 1945, but until 1987 each branch created their own posters to illustrate the themes and promote events. There has been a national theme since 1987.
Traditionally, but not always, the Book Week artwork is developed by the winner of the previous year's Picture Book of the Year Illustrator.
Take a look at past CBCA Book Week themes. https://cbca.org.au/cbca-book-week-resources/
Book Week is an opportunity for all students at RBSC to seek out the magic that is reading. Make it something for you to do for you. Reading can transform your life even if it is for short periods. You can be transported to wonderful places, meet exciting, stimulating characters and feel tremendous thrills or scare your socks off. Participate in the celebration of reading. If you have never got into a novel…it’s because you have not met the right book yet! Come into the Library and chat, we will find you the one!
