Executive Report
There is always a lot happening at Rose Bay,
Today, the 2026 College Captain Election videos are being presented to Year 11 students ahead of the upcoming College Captain elections. This initiative provides an excellent opportunity for students to engage with the candidates and make informed decisions.
Last night, the Dance Ensembles performed at the Junior Showcase, representing the school with pride. Their standout performances were an impressive display of talent and served as a fantastic introduction to dance at RBSC for prospective local primary school students. A heartfelt thank you goes to Chloe Woodward, who dedicated many hours to rehearsing and perfecting the choreography with the cast, creating a fun and inclusive program for students from Years 7 to 12.
Additionally, our 2026 Year 7 Year Advisers, Ms Leane and Miss McMorrough-Enright, are actively engaging with our future Year 7 students through informative visits. They are introducing students to a “day in the life” at Rose Bay Secondary College and have created an insightful walkthrough video, taking viewers on a tour from the Front Gate to the Oval. This initiative aims to help incoming students feel more comfortable and excited about starting their journey with us.
In academic news, many Year 12 students have successfully submitted their HSC Major Works across several subjects, including Society and Culture, English Extension 2, Science Extension, and Industrial Technology - Timber. Visual Arts, Music, Dance, Drama, and Design and Technology submissions are still to come. The creativity and hard work demonstrated by these students are truly outstanding and commendable.
Many assessments are currently underway across Years 7 to 10, and Year 11 examinations are approaching in Week 8. We encourage all students to prepare effectively. Here are three tips for success:
· Plan and Organise: Create a timetable to manage your time and cover all subjects
· Stay Healthy: Get enough rest, eat well, and take regular breaks to maintain focus.
· Seek Support: Don’t hesitate to ask teachers or peers for help
We look forward to celebrating these achievements and continuing to support our students in their pursuits.

Key baskets and plays from Winter Brown, Lucas Wang and Kai Pearce were of particular importance in securing the win. The final score was 44-29.
